About Cavapoos
Cavapoos. They’re tiny, they have big eyes. Think about if Bambi was a puppy. You just NEEEEEED to cuddle them.
A Cavapoo is part Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and part Poodle (generally a toy or mini to keep the size small). They come in all sorts of colors, with some inheriting the markings of the Cavalier and others the more solid color of a poodle.
Cavapoos are generally very friendly and have a sweet nature. They typically are great additions to families with children or existing pets. They are also very people-oriented, so with good training and communication methods applied, they are easy to handle. They are not typically barkers. They can sometimes be a little TOO fond of people, meaning that they might hate being alone. Separation anxiety can occur if they are alone without another pet-friend or human.
These little guys are gentle-hearts. They don’t respond to harsh treatment or training methods. Positive reinforcement training is the best for them. They require moderate exercise, such as a long daily walk. This helps stimulate them physically and mentally. They will need to be groomed regularly and brushed at least once a week to keep their coats healthy. Most Cavapoos can be expected to live for 13-15 years.
